Cowhides have  been  around  for  centuries  and  were amongst the first floor coverings  used by  people  because  of  their durabilty and obvious beauty.They break  the  floor  and  are  soft  underfoot and  easy  to  maintain.The  patterns  are  endless  and  unique.We  can  never  deliver  the  same  hide  twice because of  this.The  hide  we  source are a byproduct of  the  beef  industry and  the  majority come from  South  America,although  some  hide are  sourced in  Europe.The tanning  process ensures  the  hair does not  shed  and  the  back  is  smooth  and  has  a  suede like finish.Tears can occur  in  tanning  and  these  are  usually  patched  from  the  back  or  sewn.We  do  hae   selected  A  grade hides
